Dr. Saskia Caroline Irene Ravesloot

Ravesloot's career follows a tripple path, academic, international and artistic.

Rejecting all labelling, she prefers being profiled as an 'artivist'. With a strong sense of justice, Ravesloot tackles all sorts of violations and discriminations, in particular those experienced by girls and women.

She studied Political Sciences and started her career in Africa, where the fight for women's rights grasped her attention during more than a decade.

Back in Europa she worked for the University of Antwerp (UA) and Brussels (VUB).

Ravesloot is nowadays gender and human rights expert at the Belgian Development Agency (BTC).

Feeling the need to tell the whole story, Ravesloot reawakened her artistic interests recently.
